Start with the operating basis
Define each fruit campaign separately
List the fruits to be processed and identify the delivered condition for each. Record the preparation already completed and the product specification expected at the pulp outlet.
A plant handling several fruits normally needs a plan for their separate production campaigns when single-fruit pulp is required. Screening does not turn a mixture of different fruit pulps back into separate single-fruit products.

- Identify the equipment inlet and accepted-product measurement point.
Match pulping and screen choices to the duty
Describe the required pulp finish and the unwanted material to be removed. Use representative fruit to evaluate the proposed preparation, pulper arrangement and screen selection.
Compare acceptable output and rejected material under recorded conditions. A screen designation alone does not establish recovery, product quality or suitability for every fruit in the proposed campaign list.
- Record the samples and assessment methods used in trials.
- Mark any fruit or operating condition that remains untested.
Include changeover and the receiving process
Ask how the selected equipment is emptied, cleaned, inspected and prepared for the next campaign. Include the required screen or component changes and the records used to release the next batch.
Define the connection to holding, treatment or bulk filling from the actual product plan. Equipment flexibility and a filling connection do not establish a validated preservation process or shelf life.
- Include service requirements and site responsibilities in the proposal.
- Agree how product is handled when the downstream process is unavailable.
